Research field: Human Microbiome

Field introduction: Our group is mainly focusing on the diversity of human microbiome and the correlation with human health. We use metagenomics, bioinformatics, molecular biology, microbiology, cell biology and machine learning algorithms to develop a multi-latitude study on human microecology and diseases.

PI: Feng Qiang, who obtained the PhD degree from University of Copenhagen, joined in School of Stomatology, Shandong University in 2017 as Qilu Young Scholar of Shandong University, Taishan Young Scholar Expert of Shandong Province, Top Young Talents of the "Ten Thousand People Program" of the Central Organizational Department of China. He was awarded the prize of Natural Science in Shandong Province(ranked first), the pioneer of innovation in Jinan City (ranked first), 105 patents (ranked 14th in the world and 1st in China) and has published 46 SCI papers, including Nature Biotechnology (3), Nature Medicine (2), Nature Communications (5), Gut, Cell Host & Microbe.
